At Precision Die, we take Quality very seriously. It is imperative for success in the modern age. To this end we have adopted a unifying and integrated approach that combines all of the virtues of such things as “Lean”, “Six Sigma”, and “Total Quality” into what we know as the “Precision Die and Stamping Quality Management System”.
Our Management System uses the principles espoused by Drs. W. Edwards Deming, Ishikawa, Juran, Taguchi, and others to use the above tools in the appropriate place and time, instead of blindly following the latest fad or Management buzz-word.
We actively practice Statistical Process Control wherever it is appropriate to truly recognize significant changes in our processes, as opposed to mere coincidence. This will allow us to make the best use of our resources instead of creating waste by:
- Failing to recognize impending problems that are about to exist.
- Trying to solve other problems that don’t exist.
The system for doing this is made available to all employees via our company-wide intranet, as well as our Quality Manual, and made available to virtually everyone that works at PD&S. By everyone having ready access to our company policies, procedures, and philosophies, we can all benefit from continuous learning as well as continuous improvement.
